    Interdisciplinary centers, incubators of academic research and issue-focused institutes blend our diverse assets in a way that encourages new thinking and discovery. These entities bridge Webster’s schools and colleges to each other and the University itself to the world beyond. The result is a more relevant institution and a better-informed community.

    Center for Ethics
    The University’s Center for Ethics aims to stimulate dialogue, encourage awareness, and promote critical thinking about ethical issues.
    Institute for Excellence in Teaching and Learning
    The Institute for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is the home for faculty development and assessment resources such as the Faculty Development Center (FDC) and Assessment Center.
    Center for Interdisciplinary Studies
    The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (CID), based in the College of Arts & Sciences, offers students the unique opportunity to study in areas that cut across disciplines.
    Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies
    The Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies combines support for teaching, research, and service to promote global citizenship among its students, staff, and alumni.
    Center for International Education
    The Center for International Education (CIE) is a crossroads of international opportunities and activities for the University and surrounding communities.
    International Student Center
    The International Student Center is home to International Recruitment & International Services, which helps students navigate the varying regulations governing travel and study within our network of international campuses.
    Center for Professional Development
    The Center for Professional Development, located at Webster’s Old Post Office campus in Downtown St. Louis, provides learning seminars and workshops for corporations and other organizations looking to move ahead and stay there.
    Multicultural Center
    The Multicultural Center provides programs and services to students and faculty to help foster a community environment that recognizes social differences, respects cultural uniqueness, and facilitates cross-cultural interaction, learning and appreciation.
    Confucius Institute
    The Confucius Institute at Webster University is part of an international network of Confucius Institutes to promote the understanding of Chinese language and culture, and foster friendly relations between China and the world.
    The Academic Resources Center
    The Academic Resources Center provides a range of services to help students succeed. The center offers peer tutoring, test preparation help, study and organizational skills improvement and services for students with special needs or disabilities.The ARC is also home to the Writing Center, where students can get  expert assistance from qualified writing coaches.
    Global Internship Experience
    The Global Internship Experience (GIE) places American students from Webster University in overseas “total immersion” internships that entail extensive foreign language and intercultural experience.
    Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence (SPICE)
    The goal of the Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence (SPICE) is to work with our friends and colleagues to enhance chess, education, technology, and research.
