Annual giving is largely unrestricted, which means your gift can go to work immediately for the University and its schools and programs. Unrestricted support pays for undergraduate scholarships, student programs, faculty support for research and course development, funding for student participation in scholarly conferences, library acquisitions, and classroom and equipment purchases.

Leading by example

Did you know that annual giving is a key factor in Webster University’s ability to attract grant funding? Foundations and major donors alike look directly at how many individuals support our programs year to year before they consider supporting Webster themselves. Enhancing Webster’s reputation

U.S. News & World Report and other organizations use the alumni participation rate as an important measure to rate alumni satisfaction when ranking colleges. When they announce their listing of top colleges in the country, there is a strong correlation between the most highly regarded colleges and the alumni participation rate that each enjoys.  Increasing our alumni participation rate in annual giving is one way to move up in these rankings. As Webster University’s national ranking rises, the value of a degree from Webster University increases significantly.
