    Student Employment

The Student Employment Program is managed by Liz Condon-Oakberg, the Student Employment Coordinator in Career Services.  She can be reached by phone, 314-968-6982 or email, econdon32@webster.edu.

The Student Employment Program is designed to help students meet educational expenses through meaningful employment. Career Services assists students in finding part-time student employment positions.  Student employment at Webster is divided into three different programs:

    Federal Work Study

Federal Work Study (abbreviated CWSP on the Financial Aid Award Letter) recipients may work either on campus or in an approved community service work study site.  Community service work study sites are created by the Student Employment Coordinator.  Students must be enrolled at least half-time at the University to retain their award over the course of the academic year.

    Program dates: July 1-June 30.

    International Webster Work Study

International Webster Work Study (abbreviated IWWS on the Financial Aid Award Letter) is awarded to a small number of international students annually, as a recruitment tool for incoming freshmen.  International students are awarded a set dollar amount to earn over the course of the year and additional funds are not available.  This funding does not require international students to complete and submit a financial aid application.

    Program dates:  June 1-May 31.

    Budget Student Employment

Budget Student Employment (abbreviated BSWS by the Career Services office) is available to current students, regardless of financial need.  The hiring department funds the position directly, so appeals for an increase in award amount must be made to the hiring supervisor and not the Financial Aid Office.

    Program dates: June 1-May 31.
