About
Debra Carpenter has devoted 30 years to bridging diverse audiences through public relations, both as a professional public relations manager in the corporate world or as a faculty member in the academic one.
At Webster University, she served as dean of the School of Communications for 16 years. During her 21 years at Webster University she also has served as acting department chairperson, associate professor of public relations and adjunct professor in the Department of Media Communications.
Carpenter is on the board of directors for the St. Louis chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She was selected as the 2003 Outstanding University Administrator of the Year by the Speech and Theater Association of Missouri and received the 1999 Certificate of Leadership from the St. Louis YWCA.
