About
Jim Singer is a 35 year radio veteran. His work includes seven years as an on-air personality as well as more than 28 years as a production director and ultimately program director for several St. Louis area stations.
Prior to coming to Webster Singer was a professor at UMSL and taught several broadcast courses including Introduction to Radio and Television Announcing, Radio Production, Radio and the Recording Industry and Broadcasting in America. He also helped bring UMSL students their first student run Internet radio station and was the stations chief advisor. In his first year as a professor Singer was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to student academic success.
Jim continues to do freelance voice work and can be heard on commercials throughout St. Louis. He also teaches a voice over course at Clayton Studios for those interested in voice work. Jim's easy going, enthusiastic style makes students feel comfortable as they learn in a fun and focused environment.
