Departmental Mission & Philosophy

Knowledge of the law and the legal system can assist individuals in a wide variety of careers;legal careers such as paralegal/legal assistants, human resource managers, law enforcement officers, insurance claims adjusters, probation and parole officers, court administrators, union representatives,health administrators,government agency workers, etc. The Legal Studies Department provides students the tools neeeded to move successfully in law related fields or graduate work.The department is committed to engaging students in critical thinking and analysis, practical applications,substantive understanding,and exposing students to technology encountered in the legal arena.
