Global Ecology: A Creative Opportunity to Design a Sustainable Future

Join environmentalist, thinker, writer, and peace campaigner Satish Kumar and other world-renowned speakers as they discuss a world in crisis and offer solutions for overwhelming global problems in the areas of ecology and the economy.

The day’s stellar lineup includes Kumar, Webster University’s 2007-08 E. Desmond Lee Visiting Professor for Global Awareness; Wes Jackson, president of The Land Institute; Frances Moore Lappé, author or co-author of 16 books, including Diet for a Small Planet; Thomas Moore, author of popular spiritual books that include Care of the Soul; and Madhu Suri Prakash, Penn State professor and a specialist in ecological literacy and ecofeminism.

We invite you to join us after the conference at Eden Seminary’s Schroer Commons for a vegetarian dinner of organic, locally grown food.

Our after-dinner speaker is Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

The cost of for the Global Ecology conference, including lunch, is $25 for the general public and $15 for Webster faculty, staff and students from other schools. The conference is free for Webster University students. The cost for the dinner is $25.
