It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to our 2007 Woman of Influence award and lecture.

The Woman of Influence speaker award and lecture is a special recognition to a leader who has demonstrated leadership in a significant way by impacting our society in a broader perspective today and in the future. The Woman of Influence award is dedicated to focusing the spotlight on a stand-out, dynamic, transformational leader who is a driver of change. Tonight, we honor a leader who recognizes that the future belongs to those who can see it. This award has become a community watershed, an annual forum to listen and learn from person of influence who embraces the value of defying conventional wisdom. We see this as an opportunity to hear from a modern day apostle of change, an innovator, and a person of substance who has successfully led from where they are and as such have made a profound impact in an important and relevant area.

It is my pleasure to welcome to Webster University Patrick Moore, Chairman, President and CEO of Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation. Mr. Moore is a trustee of Webster University and a member of the Board of Directors at Archer Daniels Midland Company. Patrick Moore is a solid rock in our community, respected for his exceptional quality as a strong, authentic presence and a leader focused on results. Pat will introduce our featured speaker and 2007 woman of influence. Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Patrick Moore.
