Debbie Psihountas graduated from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Cincinnati. Debbie Psihountas' areas of teaching include corporate finance, corporate governance, human capital and financial return, diversity and taxation. Dr. Psihountas has been published in The International Journal of Diversity in Organisations, Communities and Nations, and has presented papers at the Financial Management Association, Academy of Financial Services, and other conferences. She was voted a "Most Inclusive Leader" award by the St. Louis Business Journal in 2009, a "Woman of Achievement" by the Hellenic Spirit Society of the University of Missouri St. Louis, in 2008, and a YMCA Woman Leader in 2006. She has served as chair of the business department at Webster as well as acting chair of business and management programs in Geneva, Switzerland. She is also former chair of the salary and fringe benefit committee of Webster University and has actively served as a faculty leader and member in a number of other organizations.
