GLOBAL GRADUATION: The inaugural class of Webster University's Global MBA program - which includes St. Louis residents Kevin Boggeman and Taunya Dillow — is about to hold its graduation this weekend in Budapest, Hungary.
The 11-month-long class, which is part of Webster's School of Business " Technology, involved a group of full-time graduate students spending nine-week terms at Webster campus locations in Geneva, London, Shanghai, Vienna and Leiden, Holland.
Some of the events planned for the graduation include a reception tomorrow night at the residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, Donald M. Blinken. Guests will include members of Hungary's Parliament; U.S. Embassy representatives; the former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, our town's George H. Walker III, a life trustee for Webster University; and Benjamin Ola. Akande, dean of the university's business and technology school.
The graduation ceremony will be Saturday morning at the State Audit Office of Hungary. Commencement speakers include the former Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Medgyessy, and Janos Horvath, a member of Hungary’s Parliament.
