Academic Excellence Honored
While thousands graduated this month across the world of Webster, a special group of business students took part in a different ceremony celebrating their academic excellence. These students were inducted into Delta Mu Delta, the prestigious international honor society which recognizes outstanding students in baccalaureate or master's degree business administration programs at ACBSP-accredited schools. The academic qualifications to be considered for Delta Mu Delta are high. To be considered undergraduate students must have a 3.70 GPA or better. Graduate and doctoral students must maintain a 3.95 GPA or better.
"Membership in Delta Mu Delta is the highest recognition a business student can earn," said Dean Akande. "That makes us even more proud of these students who have excelled at their studies while here at the SBT."

SBT Partners with IRS
The checks are in the mail this month for those who received help from Webster’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) volunteers this tax season.
"We set out to help those in the community save money with our free tax return preparation," says George Slusarz, director of Webster's VITA team. "And, we did just that, saying our clients thousands with our expertise."
VITA volunteers helped those families with a total income below $42,000. will help preparing Form 1040s, 2441s, 8812s and Schedule EICs through their service center at The Old Post Office.
