They came from all over to Webster, the first leg in an 11-month personal and professional journey across the world to become global businessmen and women.

"There is nothing like immersing yourself in a totally foreign environment with a group of other people," Webster University President Beth Stroble told the Global MBA Class of 2010 during their orientation this week. "It allows you to experience a new part of life and human nature that binds us as one people around the globe."

My First Pitch - Convocation 2009

"Our primary role here is to prepare our students to be ready to pitch," Dean Akande told faculty at Webster University's Faculty Convocation 2009 this week. "We want them to be able to face the equivalent of an Albert Pujols at the plate when they leave the SBT." Dean Akande's comments stem from his experience on the mound of a Major League baseball field a few weeks ago.
