The creator of the explosive micro-blogging service which allows people to stay connected 140 characters at a time is Webster University's 2009 Person of the Year. That means a return to Missouri by the St. Louis native for an address at Webster University September 18 at 10am.

Chair of Business Department Receives 2009 Inclusive Leadership Award

Dr. Debbie Psihountas, chair of The School of Business & Technology's business department and assistant professor of finance, is among this year's Inclusive Leadership Class of 2009. The award, given each year by the St. Louis Business Journal, recognizes ethnic minorities who are making their mark on the St. Louis business community.

"The Inclusive Leadership Award puts the spotlight on Debbie's leadership in and out of the classroom, "said Dean Benjamin Akande. "It also reflects on Webster University where she and other outstanding faculty continue to excel at setting a standard for global education."

Debbie and her fellow honorees will be honored at luncheon September 17th at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis.
