Twitter Creator Recognized in President Obama's Speech

Header Twitter Co-Founder to Speak at Webster

Jack Dorsey has received a number of compliments since inventing Twitter. Now Webster University's 2009 Person of the Year finds himself in a presidential address.

"Today I want to ask you, what's your contribution going to be?" President Obama asked the nation's children during his first Back To School address. "Students who sat where you sit 20 years ago founded Google, Twitter and Facebook and changed the way we communicate with each other."

"Wow. What a great speech, and what an honor," Dorsey tweeted following the address. The chairman, co-founder and creator of Twitter will be at Webster University September 18, 2009 at 10am in the Loretto-Hilton Center. Those who can't make it to campus can watch the address live on line at www.webster.edu/jackatwebster.
