Located just 10 minutes from The Hague and 30 minutes from Amsterdam by train, Leiden is one of Holland’s best-kept secrets. The Webster campus sits in the historic city center on a picturesque canal, with most of the student housing a short walk or bike ride from campus. Nearby Leiden University, which has nearly 20,000 students and staff, gives this cozy college town of 115,000 inhabitants a youthful, international flair.
Because of the Leiden campus’s proximity to The Hague, which is home to many of the world’s most important legal organizations, your coursework in Leiden will focus on aspects of international law, as well as the politics of development, and issues related to globalization.
In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to visit places such as the International
Court of Justice, the International Court of Arbitration, the Yugoslav
Tribunal, and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
