    These tutorials will assist you in managing your Entourage e-mail application

    Setting the Send/Receive Options

    Setting the Send/Receive Options in Entourage

    NOTE: Depending on your email client setup some of these settings may not appear. Please call the Help Desk for assistance.

    1. Open Entourage
    2. Click on the Tools menu and select Run Schedule > Edit Schedules

    1. Select Send and Receive All and click on the Edit button.

    1. Set the desired time.
    2. Click OK

    1. Open Entourage
    2. Click on the Entourage menu and select Account Settings…

    1. Select your e-mail account and click on the Edit button.

    1. The Edit Account window opens.

    1. Click on the Options tab at the top of the window.

    1. Make sure there is no check mark in the box next to “Leave a copy of each message on server”.

    Your e-mail messages will be removed from the server when you download messages (using POP) or when you delete messages (in IMAP). This means that when you delete an email message from Entourage a copy is not saved on the server, it is truly deleted. This prevents build up of old mail in your email account on the server. This build up can make your email run much slower.
