Congratulations 2011 – 2012 Graduates!

 Graduation Ceremony - Sunday, July 29th 11:00AM – 1:00PM
Times Union Center for the Performing Arts, Jacoby Hall

All graduates from Fall 1 2011, Fall 2 2011, Spring 1 2012, Spring 2 2012, and Summer 2012 are invited to attend and celebrate receiving their Master’s Degree from Webster University.  Local graduations are held once a year for the Greater Jacksonville Campuses, including the Jacksonville Campus and the NAS Jacksonville Campus. 

This is a great opportunity to reminisce with the faculty, staff and fellow graduates.  Many faculty members attend this event and always appreciate the opportunity to congratulate each of you personally on your accomplishments.  This gala event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacoby Hall in the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts, in downtown Jacksonville.

The Ceremony
Academic robing for the graduates will be from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., with group pictures taken before the ceremony. Please be on time.  The ceremony begins with a faculty and graduate processional at 11:00 a.m. sharp.  Children are welcome to attend.  The hall is wheelchair accessible.  If you have other seating concerns, please contact Marsha Rau at 268-3037 ext. 3221. 

Regalia (Cap and Gown)
NOTE: Webster University is using blue gowns for the third time this year. Graduates should not use gowns from years prior to 2010, as they will not match the new gowns.
Graduates must order their own cap and gown through "We're Outta Here!". The order form will be mailed to you with your graduate information packet. (If you did not receive a packet, the information can be accessed by clicking here.) The cap and gown will be shipped directly to your home. When you receive it, be sure to check the contents to make sure they are correct. If you have questions about ordering your cap and gown, please contact Dianne Stone at  dianne6799@aol.com. (FYI, the graduation fee that you pay upon completion of your program covers the cost of the diploma and unlimited official transcripts. If you choose to attend the graduation ceremony, you will be responsible for purchasing your cap and gown from "We're Outta Here!".) All cap and gown orders must be submitted to "We're Outta Here!" by June 15.

Be sure to indicate the degree you will be receiving on the order form. Each degree has a different color on the hood and tassel for differentiation.

Pictures
Photography will be provided by Werner Kahn Studios.  A group picture will be taken prior to the ceremony for the Jacksonville Naval Air Station base paper, as well as for display at both campuses.  Individual pictures of the graduates receiving their degrees at the podium will be taken.  These pictures will be available for purchase by graduates a few weeks after the ceremony.  There is no charge, initially, for the photography, only if the graduate chooses to purchase at a later date.

Name Verification: Indicate how you would like your name to appear on the graduation program. PLEASE no middle names, middle initials or nicknames. They will not be used in the graduation program. 

Reservation/Guest Confirmation Form: please RSVP for yourself and the number of guests, such as family and friends, that you would like to invite.  Only by your RSVP with the number expected will we know how many seats to reserve for your guests. 

Requests for Certificates of Recognition: please indicate the number of certificates of recognition you desire.  These certificates are free and make a nice presentation as mementos to guests, family, associates, bosses, etc. who were supportive of your efforts toward graduation.

Verification of Military Status (if applicable):  Please indicate whether you are active duty or retired military and list your command.

  Map and Directions:  Free parking will be available in downtown lots and parking garages.

The graduation and reception is a gift to you, the graduates, from Webster University.  There is no cost for this event, other than the price of the cap and gown.  Webster University covers the cost of this event for all graduates, invited guests, faculty, and administrative personnel.  Your $50 graduation fee is solely for the printing of your diploma and to cover the cost of all future transcripts.
