Mr. James E. (Jim) Smith, an Adjunct Faculty member of the Little Rock campus since 2003 and Chief, Emergency Management & Surety Management with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), has been selected to the Webster University President's Curriculum Team for the Webster Global Leadership Academy.

The Curriculum Team is charged with refining the goals and objectives for the Global Leadership Academy, outlining the topics and format that focus participants on both a comprehensive and grounded understanding of Webster University in all its complexity as well as development of their own individual leadership strengths.

The Team will also develop the means for assessing the academy’s success in terms of impact on individuals and the institution. Team participants will convene in four one-day sessions during the academic year and develop a plan for the curriculum and an assessment framework. The Selection committee consisted of Dr. Benjamin Akande, Dr. Julian Schuster, and Betsy Schmutz.
