American Voices - A Concert Celebration featuring music by some of America's finest composers Presented by the Webster University Choirs
What/Who:
American Voices - A concert celebration featuring music by some of America's finest composers is presented by the Webster University Chamber Singers and Choral Society, under the direction of Trent Patterson; the Webster University Concert Choir, under the direction of Kevin McBeth and a guest choir from Fort Zumwalt West High School, under the direction of Beth Fritz. Several Webster student and faculty vocal and instrumental soloists will collaborate with the four choirs singing on this concert.
The program features a broad spectrum of sacred and secular choral repertoire by some of America's best-loved composers of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, Daniel Pinkham and Kirke Mechem. Several selections from the American Musical Theatre and Vocal Jazz idioms will also be performed. You will not want to miss this exciting concert program!
