What Happened in 1989? A Lecture on the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall Nov. 9
Who/What:
Geoff Eley, Professor of History at the University of Michigan, is a top European historian and commentator on European affairs, who will reflect on the meaning of the 1989 revolution and on the state of Europe today. He will be introduced by George Herbert Walker III, former U.S. Ambassador to Hungary and Webster University Life Trustee. The event is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences.
When/Where:
Monday, Nov. 9, at 4 p.m. in the Emerson Library Conference Room, 101 Edgar Road, Webster Groves, Missouri
The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Garden Park Plaza garage located on Garden Avenue.
Campus Events Remembering the Fall of the Berlin Wall, Nov. 9, 1989:
A Berlin Wall replica will be on display in the University Center for student graffiti artists, and an exhibit will be displayed on the 3rd floor of Webster Hall near the International Languages & Cultures department.
