Webster University Choirs and Friends Present a Concert in Celebration of Black History Month
What/Who:
The Webster University Chamber Singers will perform a selection of African-American spirituals by some of the leading composer/arrangers of this genre during the twentieth century and beyond. Selections by William Dawson, Moses Hogan, Undine Smith Moore, and others will be included on the program. The Webster University Concert Choir will perform a selection of works featuring texts written by African-American Poets.
Additional musical performances from the Webster Conservatory of Theatre Arts will also be included on this concert.
When: Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, 7 p.m.
Where: Community Music School of Webster University, 535 Garden Ave., Webster Groves
Cost: $3, free to students with I.D.
