Webster University Receives Gift from Bogen Cafe
Bogen Café, a photography education program conducted by Bogen Imaging, donated equipment valued at $32,000 to Webster University’s photography program after hosting a two-day seminar with world-renowned professional photographer and educator Will Crockett.
Each year Bogen Café visits universities and colleges across the country sharing its expertise in photography. After each visit, the team donates the equipment it demonstrated in the seminar to the school.
“We are honored to contribute to these colleges as they offer their communities opportunities in the world of art,” says the Bogen Café website.
On the first night of the seminar, Mr. Crockett hosted a live demonstration of photographic lighting techniques to more than two hundred students, faculty and members of the St. Louis community. Everyone present received a free DVD explaining the techniques in detail. During the second day of the seminar, Mr. Crockett held personal tutorials and portfolio reviews with advanced photo students.
At the end of the event, all lighting equipment was donated to Webster University. The equipment included an Elinchrom Ranger RX Speed AS Set, an Elinchrom 250/250 BXRi To-Go Kit, a Gossen Digipro F lightmeter, an Elinchrom 74-inch Octa Light Bank and more.
