Principal Clarinetist Scott Andrews to Visit the Community Music School of Webster University
WHAT:
Clarinetist Scott Andrews will lead a Master Class with students of the Community Music School of Webster University. Several CMS students will perform a piece and then be coached by Mr. Andrews. Students, teachers, and those with a general interest in music are invited to observe.
WHO:
Clarinetist Scott Andrews is an active chamber musician and recitalist, critically acclaimed in performances from coast to coast and appointed Principal Clarinet of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra in 2005. Mr. Andrews has lectured and given classes around the United States as well as in Europe and Japan. He is a faculty member at the Tanglewood Music Center and was for many years the Woodwind Department Chair at Boston Conservatory. A graduate of the New England Conservatory, he was a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 10 years and has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
