CMS Faculty Recital: From Strings to Voice to Brass!
WHO:
The Community Music School of Webster University presents its third faculty recital of the 2008-2009 season. Newcomer Valentina Takova, cellist, opens the program with the first movement of the Suite for Solo Cello by Gaspar Bassado, and is joined by Brandon Christensen, violin, for the first movement of Kodaly’s Duo for Violin and Cello. Jill Hartzog, soprano, will perform selections from The Secret Garden, The Phantom of the Opera and other favorites, accompanied by pianist Antonina Gerassimova. Robert Souza, trumpet, rounds out the program with Balay’s Piecé de Concours, with Sharon Tash on the piano.
