Webster University presents a "Cool Jazz Retrospective"
What/Who:
Webster University presents a "Cool Jazz Retrospective" concert to benefit the Suzy Shepard and Donald O. Davis endowed jazz scholarship fund. The program consists of repertoire associated with the 1940s-50s period in jazz and works associated with Lennie Tristano, Gerry Mulligan, Dave Brubeck, Jim Hall, John Lewis, Art Farmer, Chet Baker, Paul Desmond, Clifford Brown, Stan Getz and Jimmy Guiffre.
The ensemble will consist of Randy Holmes-trumpet, Paul DeMarinis-saxophones, Steve Schenkel-guitar, Kim Portnoy-piano, Carolbeth True-piano, Willem von Hombracht-bass and Kevin Gianino-drums.
When:
Monday, April 4, 7 p.m.
Where:
Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster University
470 E. Lockwood Ave.
Cost:
$10 at the door, free to students with a valid school ID card.
