    The Paul DeMarinis Sextet: Original Jazz Compositions at Webster University

    What/Who:

    Paul DeMarinis, director of jazz studies at Webster University, will lead his sextet in a concert of new jazz compositions written by members of the ensemble. The sextet, including Webster adjunct faculty members Debby Lennon, Dave Black, Ben Wheeler and Webster alum Nick Schlueter, was formed in 2007 and released a CD of DeMarinis originals, "The Sun...The Stars," in 2009.

    Performers include Paul DeMarinis-soprano and tenor saxophone, Debby Lennon-vocals, Dave Black-guitar, Nick Schlueter-piano, Ben Wheeler-bass and Kyle Honeycutt-drums.

    When: Oct. 8, 2012, 7 p.m.

    Where: Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster University

    470 E. Lockwood Ave.

    Cost: $5, general admission, $3, seniors, at the door. Students free

    with valid I.D.
