    "From Merrie Olde England" a Faculty Voice Recital at Webster University

    What/Who:

    Members of the Webster University Department of Music voice faculty present a recital of songs with connections to England. In a special collaboration, Victoria Carmichael sings a set of songs composed to Shakespeare texts by Gary Sims, who also serves on the voice faculty. Noel Prince performs selections from Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan Williams, with poetry by Robert Louis Stevenson. Jeffrey Carter, chair of the Department of Music, presents a set of songs by Roger Quilter, with texts by Shakespeare.

    When:

    Sunday, October 11, 2009, 4 p.m.

    Where:

    Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster University

    470 E. Lockwood Ave.

    Cost:

    $5 at the door, $3, senior adults and free to students with a valid school ID card
