Webster University Included in Forbes Magazine’s Ranking of America’s Best Colleges
Webster University ranks among America's best colleges, according to a report released Wednesday by Forbes magazine. This is the second year in a row that Webster has been included in the Forbes list. Now in its fourth year, the Forbes "America's Top Colleges" ranking is based on five categories: postgraduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, four-year graduation rate and competitive awards.
According to Forbes, its ranking includes 650 schools, representing the top 20 percent of all undergraduate institutions in the United States. The magazine said its ranking "focuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt." Forbes said its ranking ignores ephemeral measures and instead evaluates the college purchase as a consumer would.
"We are proud to receive this important recognition," said Webster University President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble. "Inclusion in the prestigious Forbes 'America's Top Colleges' list confirms that Webster University continues to enhance its reputation as a global leader in academic excellence."
Webster employs a personalized approach to education through small classes, close relationships with faculty and staff, and dynamic student life. In addition, the University develops educational programs that join theory and practice, provide an international perspective, and encourage creativity and scholarship.
With its home campus in St. Louis, Webster University is the only Tier 1, private, non-profit U.S.-based university providing a network of international residential campuses. Founded in 1915, Webster University's campus network today includes metropolitan, military and corporate locations around the world, as well as traditional campuses in Asia, Europe and North America. The university is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences that transform students for global citizenship and individual excellence.
