What: Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s been thirty years since the release of this seminal sci-fi and pop-culture phenomenon. Spielberg’s story of a typical/atypical American family and their collision with a long-necked wayward traveler that just wants to go home is as touching and enjoyable as ever. With traces of Truffaut and heavy doses of self-referential 80s youth culture, the sweetness is never quite sappy. Join us for a special commemorative screening of the heart(light)warming film that made Reese’s Pieces® everyone’s favorite candy. (Steven Spielberg, 1982, USA, 115 min.)
