Webster University Film Series Presents "Nightclubbing:  Greatest Hits"

What:  The sounds of the NYC punk rock scene reached well beyond punk. Hard core, no-wave, new wave, rockabilly, jazz, performance... these varied sounds coexisted happily under the punk rock label. From 1975-80 Pat Ivers and Emily Armstrong video recorded nearly 100 performances. From this archive they assembled Greatest Hits, a collection of favorite bands, dynamic performances, and archival gems. Taped on location at Mudd Club, CBGB’s, Hurrahs, Danceteria and other nightclub locations, Greatest Hits makes you feel like you were there.  Including performances by Blondie, Talking Heads, Lounge Lizards, Dead Kennedys, Richard Hell & Voidoids, Iggy Pop, Cramps, John Cale, Strange Party, Suburbs, Pylon, Ballistic Kisses and others. (Pat Ivers and Emily Armstrong, 1975-80, USA, 90 min.)
