Webster University "Gift to the City" Christmas Concert
What/Who:
The Webster University Department of Music presents its second annual “Gift to the City” Christmas Concert held in one of St. Louis’ grand spaces, the Christ Church Cathedral.
The rich musical traditions of the season will be presented in settings of well-known favorites such as “Greensleeves” and “Cantique de Noel,” as well as dances and songs that celebrate the season from throughout the ages and from every part of the world. The concert features the talents of students and faculty of Webster University, including the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Chamber Orchestra and Choral Society. Original music will be performed by a contemporary duo of Steven Schenkel and Kiersten Rose, as well as one of Webster University’s jazz combos. It promises to be a delightful time of music for every listener!
When: Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, 2 and 4 p.m.
