Webster University Presents a Concert for Good Friday

Webster University Presents a Concert for Good Friday featuring Steve Schenkel, guitar and Ashley Mason, vocals. The 35 minute concert will present music appropriate to the season. Songs include "What Wondrous Love," "In the Garden," "Tree of Life," "Be Thou My Vision" and "What Can I Give."

Steve Schenkel has been Professor of Music at Webster University since 1980, and has been the first-call guitarist in St. Louis for over 30 years. He performs regularly with the orchestras at the Muny Opera and Fox Theater and plays fretted instruments as an extra with the St. Louis Symphony.
Ashley Mason graduated with honors from Webster University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in jazz vocal performance.
The Steve Schenkel/Ashley Mason duo has been performing concerts and church services for the past four years. The duo's first CD, "A Midnight Clear" reached number 10 on the Billboard regional charts. Their newest recording, "Hold On To Love" was released on Valentine's Day 2010.
