The event is free and open to the public.

Pizza and Politics is a town-hall style meeting, moderated by Forum founder and former Mo. Gov. Hulshof will speak with students and members of the community about his campaign platform and his stand on key issues in the gubernatorial race. Topics to be covered range from lower taxes and rebuilding the state’s economy, to pro-life, second amendment rights, ethics reform, illegal immigration, health care, education, crime and agriculture.

Elected to Congress in 1996, Hulshof is serving his sixth term as the U.S. Representative serving the 25 counties in northeastern and central Missouri that make up the state’s Ninth Congressional District. From 1989 to 1996, Hulshof served as Special Prosecutor for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. Certified as a Missouri Specialist Instructor in Criminal Law, Hulshof has lectured at law enforcement conferences and seminars and has instructed prosecutors across the country in trial advocacy and ethics. He earned an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a law degree from the University of Mississippi.
