"Simple American Places," by Photographer Peter Robert Thompson at Webster's May Gallery
Who/What:
“Simple American Places,” a photography exhibit of the work of Peter Robert Thompson at Webster University's May Gallery. About the exhibit:
“These pictures represent the poetry of every day and celebrate the majesty of what is common, simple and ordinary. These are the places, people and things which we share time with on our planet that exist quietly. Many show a life that's forgotten or dying and only capture whispers of what was left behind. Some are ghosts, skeleton trees on the prairie, lonely towers standing in their desert solitude, the abandoned homes of left behind dreams. They signify our loss with what was, yet are rich in their distance. I find, in what remains, a lingering beauty worthy of our consideration, at least one more time."
