Dave Boonshoft (B.A. ’75) moved to New York City in 1981 via the Midwest and Miami and embarked on a freelance career that has encompassed virtually every style of music. Boonshoft formed the record label Naked Music in 1997 with Jay Denes after many successful productions for other labels. According to Boonshoft, “The Naked sound was born at the intersection of dance, soul and electronic music”. Their current release “Re-Creation” recently went to #1 on the iTunes electronic albums chart.  Boonshoft is also the owner of Aguilar Amplification. Innovative design, expert craftsmanship, and the highest quality components have earned Aguilar a reputation for being an industry leader in bass amplification products.  Dave’s experience as a bass player influences and informs the designs of Aguilar Amplification.  Players using Aguilar amplifiers include many of the modern masters of the electric bass, such as Willie Weeks (Eric Clapton), Nathan East (Herbie Hancock), John Patitucci (Jazz great), and many others working in diverse musical genres.
