Webster University Students Showcase Theatrical Talent in NYC
This week in New York City, 27 Webster University Conservatory of Theatre Arts seniors are demonstrating their talents to dozens of professional designers, directors, agents, and casting directors. The "Senior Showcase" is a one-hour show featuring brief performances by each student at the New World Stages Theater in the heart of the "Off-Broadway" theater district.
The Conservatory of Theatre Arts is a professional training program for acting, musical theatre, directing, design, technical theatre and stage management. Located in St. Louis, the Conservatory has been training theatre students for the professional world for more than half a century.
One of the distinguishing elements of Webster's Conservatory is its integrated association with professional theatre companies, two of which are located on the St. Louis campus: The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Webster University also enjoys a one-of-a-kind association with a professional musical theatre, The MUNY.
With its home campus in St. Louis, Webster University is the only Tier 1, private, non-profit U.S.-based university providing a network of international residential campuses. Founded in 1915, Webster University’s campus network today includes metropolitan, military and corporate locations around the world, as well as traditional campuses in Asia, Europe and North America. The university is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences that transform students for global citizenship and individual excellence.
