Webster University’s Opera Studio Presents its Annual Performance
What/Who:
Webster University presents its annual Opera Studio performance. Opera Studio is a highly select ensemble of Webster student singers performing scenes from opera and operetta. The production is under the artistic direction of Alice Nelson, faculty member in Webster's Dept. of Music, Stage director is Nathan Troup from the Boston University Opera Institute and returning to conduct is Chris Ludwa, artistic director of the Bayview Summer Music Festival in Michigan. The scenes are fully staged and costumed, with orchestra.
Scenes are from "Don Giovanni," "Carmen," Puccini's "La Rondine" and Menotti's" The Old Maid and the Thief," in honor of the 100th anniversary of Gian-Carlo Menotti's birth.

Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21 and 22, 7 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 23, 4 p.m.

Cost:
$10 for the general public. $5 for senior adults. Students free with valid I.D.
