Paul DeMarinis and Friends” An Evening of Original Jazz Compositions, featuring vocalist Debby Lennon, is presented at Webster University.
Selections to be performed are: "Here (Hear) Today," "Wayne's World," "The Sun/The Stars," "Resignation Blues," "Night Flower." "Three Wishes," "Hope" and "Line Item."
The Paul DeMarinis Sextet ensemble members are Paul DeMarinis-soprano and tenor saxophones, Debby Lennon-vocals, Dave Black-guitar, Nick Schlueter-piano, Ben Wheeler-bass and Kyle Honeycutt-drums.

Paul Demarinis, director of jazz studies and associate professor of music, is an active and well-respected jazz performer and clinician. He has a long association as a saxophonist with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra, including the ensemble’s 1999 appearance at Carnegie Hall. He has performed with numerous jazz artists including Louie Bellson, Gary Foster, Dave Liebman and Bobby Shew, and has also performed in ensembles accompanying Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Doc Severinson and Nancy Wilson.
