The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University Presents Steve Martin’s “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”

The production runs from Feb. 18-22 and Feb. 25-March 1, in the Emerson Studio Theatre, 130 Edgar Road. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., except Sundays, which will have 2 p.m. matinees only. The long running Off-Broadway comedy “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” finds Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe on a magical night in 1904. Steve Martin’s quick wit and brilliant insights create a laughter filled evening in Paris. As the two geniuses wrestle over questions of sex, fame, science and art a pop icon from the future makes a surprise visit and the space/time continuum erupts in a wild night that changes the 20th Century forever. Doug Finlayson, head of the Conservatory’s directing program, directs “Picasso at the Lapin Agile.”
