    Webster University Presents Bach’s “Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II”

    What/Who:

    The Music Department of the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts of Webster University present a concert of the complete “Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II” by J. S. Bach. 

    The “Well-Tempered Clavier” is a collection of preludes and fugues in all major and minor keys, and represents one of the highest achievements in fugal writing in all of Western music.

    Webster University students and faculty will perform the majority of these keyboard pieces on the piano. The rest will be played in versions for several instruments and even a few in jazz arrangement.

    When:            

    Sunday, May 3, 2009, 2-5 p.m.

    Where:

    Winifred Moore Auditorium, 470 E. Lockwood Ave.

    Free and open to the public
