Gina Jensen, assistant director of the forensics and debate team, is the subject of an upcoming episode of TLC's "What Not to Wear," thanks to having been recently nominated by several of her students. She was "ambushed" at 2 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 13 by the show's hosts during a taping of KSDK-TV's (Channel 5) "Show Me St. Louis" during which she was asked to share her expertise of non-verbal communications. Several close family, friends and School of Communications Dean Debra Carpenter and President Beth Stroble were there to witness the event.
The Channel 5 show featuring Gina and her ambush will broadcast tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. It will be the show's lead story. The actual episode of "What Not to Wear" is presently set to broadcast sometime in February but the exact date and time have not yet been determined. As a result of being selected for the show, she will receive a complete makeover and a new wardrobe worth $5,000 during a week-long trip to New York City beginning Oct. 25. Gina, her husband and colleague Scott, and numerous students, staff and faculty will watch the "Show Me St. Louis" segment together in the Webster University University Center today at 3 p.m.
Gina is available to talk to interested media prior to her Oct. 25 departure. Call Christine Eason at: 314-968-5976 or 314-565-5745.
