Webster University Academic Advisor Elected to Leadership Position in National Professional Organization
Tyann Cherry, Webster University senior academic advisor, has been elected chairperson of the Distance Education Advising Commission of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), said Tom Nickolai, Webster University director of academic advising. Cherry will begin the two-year leadership position at the end of the NACADA Annual Conference to be held in October in Orlando.
"Congratulations to Tyann Cherry who has transformed her role from Webster online advisor to one of the most recognized national practitioners of online advising," said Tom Nickolai, director of the Academic Advising Center. "Tyann has hosted webinars for advisors at other universities and has garnered respect for Webster's brand of online advising. Please join me in thanking Tyann for her well-deserved national recognition and the work she did to achieve it."
