    Webster University Hosts Debate Watch Party for the Community

    Event will feature expert debate analysts

    ST. LOUIS-Webster University will host a debate watch party, Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m., in the University Center Sunnen Lounge and featuring pre-date commentary by former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden and several debate and political science faculty from Webster University and other area institutions. The event to watch the vice presidential debate between Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (Rep.) and Delaware Senator Joe Biden (Dem.) is free and open to the public.

    Faculty debate analysts include: Gina Jensen, debate professor, Webster University; Joe Cernik, professor of political science and public management, Lindenwood University; Farida Jalazai, professor and assistant director of women and gender studies, University of Missouri-St. Louis; and Mark Abels, media communications professor, Washington University-St. Louis.

    The event is sponsored by Webster University, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Holden Public Policy Program, the ONE Campaign, Webster 'Rock the Vote,' The College Democrats, The College Republicans and the 2008 Webster University Year in Human Rights.
