"The Music of Cedar Walton," a Jazz Concert with the Willie Akins Quartet at Webster University
Black History Month Concert
What/Who:
Webster University presents a Black History Month Concert showcasing the "The Music of Cedar Walton." Cedar Walton is one of the best known composer/pianists/ bandleaders of the last 50 years. The featured group is led by Webster adjunct faculty member Willie Akins. The Willie Akins Quartet is composed of Willie Akins, tenor saxophone; Eric Slaughter, guitar; Bob DeBoo. bass and Montez Coleman, drums. Repertoire will include "Bolivia," "Firm Roots," "Fantasy in D," "Visions" and "The Maestro."

Monday, Feb. 6, 7 p.m.

Moore Auditorium, 470 E. Lockwood Ave.
Cost:
$5 for the general public. Students free with valid I.D.
