“The Music Of …” a Concert by the Webster University Wind Ensemble
What/Who:
The Webster University Wind Ensemble, directed by James A. Martin, will perform a concert of music both written and transcribed for the Wind Ensemble. They range from Gordon Jacob’s first composition for wind ensemble in 1924, "An Original Suite" to Ron Nelson’s 1989 "Fanfare for the Hour of Sunrise," written for the 40th Anniversary of the Aspen Music Festival. The program also includes Gustav Holst’s "Mars from The Planets."
