"I have really enjoyed my time at Webster San Diego. I was welcomed by professional and courteous staff every time I walked through the door. Knowledgeable and experienced professors supported me and encouraged my academic as well as professional development throughout my time there. The spirit of cooperation and mutual respect between students at Webster in San Diego made my learning experience in the United States a truly exceptional one. I learned an enormous deal from the people I interacted with on a daily basis and hope to remain friends with many of them in the years to come. I am grateful for having had a chance to study at such an institution and can only hope to be able to find one like it as I look for future education opportunities.  I plan to complete my degree at Webster's campus in Vienna, Austria."

"Webster University is most beneficial for working adults who are seeking a flexible class schedule while learning and excelling in a more traditional setting.

Students can take one or up to two classes depending upon their schedule and ability per term. The classes at Webster are eight weeks each for the undergraduate courses as compared to the short five weeks of the other universities. The additional weeks are beneficial because it enables the student to learn and retain the material versus just merely completing the courses for a degree.

It should also be noted that the staff at Webster University are extremely helpful and friendly."

Menie Lee
Deputy Division Manager, SAIC
B.A., Business Administration, 1997
M.B.A., 2004

"My experience at Webster has been very rewarding. The professors are working professional with a clear understanding of the current business conditions and practices.  I value their hands on work along with their academic knowledge.  It is refreshing to hear an instructor teach me how to make lots of money in business knowing that they have actually made lots of money in business themselves.

The convenience of once a week classes, optional on-line instruction, and multitude of campuses if my job takes me to another physical location gives me great comfort.

I recommend Webster to all my friends who are considering a graduate and even undergraduate degree while working full-time."

Jason DeWitt Donahoe
Compliance Officer, VestCare Inc., HIPAA,
M.B.A., 2003

"Webster's class schedule is very suitable for working adults who are determined to get graduate-degree programs even though they also have busy working schedule. The faculty bring real-world experience, the spirit of entrepreneurship, and theory into the classroom."

Jian Dong
Reseach Scientist, BioAge Pharmaceuticals, Inc., San Diego
M.B.A., 2002

"The benefits of attending Webster University are simple, I was given the interview opportunity because of my degree from Webster. In the interview I was able to display a clear and confident knowledge of business practices as a direct result of my studies at Webster.

I have the honor of being the first MBA on staff in the sales department. I am also the first sales person Ranbaxy has hired with no industry experience. That definitely would not have happened if I had not gotten my degree at Webster. I am not a big shot executive at the moment. But my MBA helped me tremendously to get my foot into the door of a company where I feel I can fully exercise my potential. With any luck, I will be able to quickly climb in this growing business."

John Carpenter
Account Representative, Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals Inc.
M.B.A., 2002

"Webster University has allowed me to complete my degree in less than two years on a basis convenient to my busy work schedule after working hours - something that is extremely important to personnel working in the armed forces, serving our country in various locations.

"The curriculum is top notch, with some of the best instructors I have ever had the pleasure of working with - be it at school or on the job.  The education received has already led to improved management of my clinics and has allowed me to adequately portray and present the needs of the department to those in the position to create changes.  This is vital to the continuous improvement required in a medical treatment facility - particularly in the largest OB/GYN department in the U.S. Navy.

"This degree has allowed me to see the importance of a strong educational background to the daily functions of a department.  I have referred over seven of my colleagues to this program, several of which have enrolled during the past year, because I believe in the quality of a Webster degree."

Bobbi Mabunay
Leading Chief Clinic Manager of OB/GYN Department
U.S. Navy
M.A. Health Services Management, 2002

"My family and job situation made it impossible to go to a full-time MBA program. The program at Webster fit my schedule and gave me the needed strategic knowledge that was needed to grow in my career.

My bachelor's degree was in History and English and I felt the need to get some solid business background. I haven't had the need to change jobs at this point but I also feel that having the background knowledge that Webster provided will help me in any future job search."

Barbara Stinchfield
Associate Director of Customer Service & Sales
LMA North America

M.B.A., Emphasis in Finance, 2001

"I loved Webster University, particularly the schedule that allowed me to take a course one night per week and then have a week until the next class. Pacing it like that allowed me to hold a full-time job, handle the responsibilities of a single parent of teenagers (my husband was deployed!) and go to school and complete my assignments.

The staff was very helpful and instructors were superb! I can't say enough good things about Webster and recommend it often to people that I know who want to work full time while going to school.  Thanks for a great education!"

Janet M. Paulovich
Chief of Services, Navy Fleet and Family Support Center, NAS North Island

"Well before "Security" became the watchword of our new century,   Webster University's Security Management program was in place. There is no curriculum more relevant to the protection, survival, and recovery of an organization at risk of physical, financial, or informational calamity.  And to one degree or another, that's every organization."

Thomas Fernandez
Colonel, U.S. Army
M.A. Security Management, 2001

"While there are many positive things I can say about Webster, I found the greatest benefit is the extreme high caliber of the faculty.

The amount of dedication from the staff as well as meeting new friends having the same goals was also very rewarding.

I enjoyed the size of the classes and the personal instruction that I wouldn't get elsewhere. I learned so much while having a great time."

Jason Trump
Imaging Specialist, Fuji Film Medical Systems
B.A., Business Administration, with Honors, 2001

"Security managers need to understand that all aspects of security should be constantly reevaluated and refocused beyond the traditional guard at the gate. The concept of security is rapidly moving beyond a bricks and mortar environment to partner with the company's revenue generating business division, the information technology unit, the legal department, and human resources, in order to move rapidly toward a progressive and proactive model of personnel and asset protection.  A security manager cannot establish and maintain credibility and effectiveness unless he or she is able to incorporate existing and emerging technologies into their model of security.

Webster offers applicable and beneficial courses designed to meet the needs and challenges of a successful security practitioner. I elected to pursue a graduate degree after an educational hiatus for a number of reasons. It is important to remain current in your selected field, and Webster offers a fine selection of courses and instructors that exposed me to current concepts, practices, and models. Also, I feel that everyone should continue to intellectually challenge themselves throughout life, whether in a formal educational venue or in any manner of self-development.

Webster University offers the unique ability to utilize instructors drawn from the business community who effectively present relevant and current material based upon their involvement in and understanding of business and technology.

I encourage those sitting on a fence to decide to continue their education at Webster. Not only does the business community recognize the value of the program, but it is a program that leads to self fulfillment. Further, you will develop friends and valuable contacts within the security, academic, and business communities."

Steven Davis
Vice President of Security, Qualcomm
M.A. Security Management, 2000

"Webster's master's degree in Security Management provided me a deep understanding of one of the fastest and most diverse professions today. Similar to IT, security is one of those fields that crosses all bounds. Security is prevalent in business from government to finance, to education, and across all corporate sectors.  The classes were run by security professionals who provided instruction that was based on their personal experience and education, and not just from a manual.

"Most students were themselves involved in security in one form or another, contributing their own experiences to class. In my transition from the military, my education from Webster was extremely helpful in me securing a position within the Aviation Operations Directorate of the newly formed Transportation Security Administration (TSA)."

Santo Polizzi
Program & Management Analyst, Transportation Security Administration
M.A. Security Management, 2000

"I completed my Security Management master's degree at Webster University in 2000. Since then, I have retired from the Marine Corps and moved away from San Diego.  In my new civilian life, I am the Director of Homeland Security for Fort Wayne, Indiana.  It's a new position and I get to shape the job as I go.

Unique to Fort Wayne is the business approach to city government that our Mayor takes.  We use Six Sigma, best practices and the local TQM group to develop strategies and partnerships to achieve our goals, increase customer satisfaction, reduce costs, etc.  My courses at Webster have prepared me well for my new role in my hometown.

Webster's business approach to security management is right on the mark!  It's the perfect fit for Fort Wayne and I believe it is a strong model for the rest of the country. Homeland Security will require private-public partnerships. It will require collaboration and cooperation on a massive scale. The private business sector accounts for the majority of our local economies.  Our continued economic viability and growth depends on safe cities with sound strategies.  Webster taught me how to develop those sound business strategies for success in the security disciplines.

I couldn't be happier about my experiences as a student at the San Diego Campus. I received a top-notch education from dedicated instructors on both the business and security side.  I'm proud of the quality education that I received from Webster and particularly the staff in San Diego.  It was a rare night that I didn't look forward to the long drive down to the campus.  The administrative support staff was equally impressive and I benefited from their "can-do" attitude and personal support. The San Diego Campus of Webster has prepared me well for my future.

The road ahead isn't very straight and there are probably even a few blind curves and pot holes. But whatever lies ahead, I have the confidence to deal with it head-on. We have a fairly new ASIS Chapter here in Fort Wayne and I'll become their Chairman after the first of the year. Thank you Webster and I wish you all continued success."

Bernie Beier
Director of Homeland Security, City of Fort Wayne, Indiana

"Webster provided me with an opportunity to expand my academic horizons and maximize my earning potential. The importance of having instructors with "real-world" experience was paramount and enabled me to apply the lessons learned in classes into situations I faced every day.

Webster's professionalism, insightful instructors, and challenging coursework have truly provided me with an edge in advancing my career."

Gregg S. Shallan
Financial Consultant, Salomon Smith Barney
M.B.A., International Business, 2000

"The two years I spent in Webster gave me not only the access to modern administration theories but also the clue of how to survive in the real business world. Furthermore, I have acquired an ability to view things from the points of different cultures. That is very important for me to make decisions in a Sino-USA joint-venture company."

Lin Yang
General Manager, Guangzhou-Allele Biotechnology, Ltd.,
In Guangzhou, People's Republic of China
M.B.A., 1999

"I cannot tell you the number of times that I have had the chance to discuss issues related to retiring from the military or careers in general with people who seem to seek me out. In every case, my number one piece of advice focuses on updating one's education. I suggest finding a field they want to work in and getting a Masters Degree before making a career move.

Webster gave me the opportunity to make it out of the "read" resume pile into the "consider" stack. My M.B.A. was the ticket I needed to get in the door and the courses I took gave me the skill set necessary to convince a perspective employer to give me an opportunity. Today I am one of only four account managers in the San Diego Region working the NMCI Contract  for EDS.  Over the past two years I have hired dozens of Team members across the country and those individuals that have the best chance of making my team have current education credentials combined with real world work experience. In my opinion, Webster offers the best program available, combining real world experience through their instructors and a focused accredited curriculum. That is the ticket!"

"Webster University combined the warmth and camaraderie of a small community with the talent, skill, technology and innovation of a prestigious university.

The faculty offered real world work experience and challenged each individual to be their best. The course content was applicable enough to utilize on-the-job during the semester and of value to utilize for future career endeavors.

I have always been proud to be an alumni of Webster! "

"I got a real world, very industry focused education at Webster- which was exactly what I wanted. The caliber of the faculty, and their experience in their fields was superb.  And I was able to earn a degree in an environment that respected my experience as a professional as well.  In all, a very positive chapter in my life!"

Tyler Orion

"For me, the benefits of attending Webster were clear as a young First Lieutenant. The flexibility of the schedule was primary in me selecting the school along with the fact that the type of classes fit right in with my interests at the time. Also, the fact that it was conveniently located made it very easy to do. The classes were both challenging and very rewarding. I would recommend Webster to anyone."
