    Advising Guidelines updated May 2012

U.S. Army Command and General Staff College

Webster University’s transfer credit guidelines with the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) provides two programs for pre-approved graduate transfer credit.  The first program is for CGSC students prior to July 2003 and the second is for CGSC students from August 2003 and later.

Transfer credit for the CGSC program prior to July 2003 is limited to 9-12 credit hours based based on the transfer credit guidelines in the Webster University graduate catalog for courses transferred from a regionally accredited educational institution.

Transfer credit for the CGSC program August 2003 and later can be applied to the following degrees and is limited to 9-15 credit hours depending on when the course was completed and the degree program chosen.

    Eligibility Requirements

    1. Completion of the Command and General Staff specific course curriculum (see below).
    2. Application and admission to one of the Webster University graduate programs listed above following prescribed admission procedures.

    Documentation

    1. Submission of an official Command and General Staff College transcript showing specific course completion.
(Note to advisors:  Actual classes completed vary based on the location courses were taken.  A careful review of the transcripts is needed to accurately transfer credits.)
    2. Submission of an official transcript showing completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited academic institution.
