Staying Connected: Do you have an on-campus job?
Nicole King: I am a work-study student in the School of Education office. It’s great to be able to work alongside my
professors in the department. I am meeting so many great people and making a ton of connections. It’s perfect!
SC: What are some of your favorite activities?
NK: I enjoy hanging with my friends (old and new), being with my boyfriend, family time, playing soccer, singing, swimming, scrapbooking, exercising,
and just having a good time.
SC: Why did you choose Webster?
NK: I chose Webster because it is simply a great school! I love my school because the class sizes are small, the students become super close, the
athletics are successful, and the teachers really care. As an underclassman, it’s very nice having older students who are so caring and helpful.
SC: What helped you settle in to the university?
NK: Through things like freshmen orientation, registration, and peer mentoring, the upperclassmen surely make the new freshmen feel welcome! In
addition, there are plenty of organizations to be involved at Webster like Student Government, Student Education Association, and Commuter Council.
SC: What organizations are you involved in?
NK: I am an active member in the Student Education Association. I love being involved with campus life even though I am a commuter. Because of my
involvement, I am plugged in so much more than if I would just come to school only for class.
