photo.net
Very useful information, specially to the unseasoned photographer. It is
not often that I come across a site with that many resources for amateur
photographers, and was very much appreciated. The graphical appeal of the
page could be worked with, although this surely is the way to have fast
loading pages.
Remembering Nagasaki
This is a very visually powerful site. The style of presentation fits
very well the subject. The information found at the site is very
interesting to those concerned with the atomic era and war in general.
The photographs loaded fast and retained good quality. My only concern
was that a times it was difficult to determine where was I on the site.
Maybe it needs some more navigational work. But overall, it was very
good.
XPresso Bar
Basically the most complete source of QuarkXPress related material that
I have seen. Interesting section on Quark-to-HTML section.
Graphically there are several problems that I have seen. First it seems
that it was not designed with the 640x480 resolution in mind due to the
large graphical rules. The background is an interesting use of the
coffee beans, but after a while it can get very painful to read large
bodies of text. Aside from the graphical aspects, the information seems
very thorough and relevant. It points to many outside sources on Quark
that can be useful.
Stacy's Home Journal...
I found the homepage to be well organized and easy to navigate. The
information was relevant to her work as well as providing links to other
pages on the Web that were a little on the unusual side.
My only concern was that this page, as noted on the "fine Print" section
on her, is mostly designed for the Mac platform. The fonts look OK when
used for display text, however, they are hard to read in a body of text,
specially when used really small.
The use of frames, seems to bother some, but to me it works fine. In the
case of the links page the frame works well as a search tool for the
different topics. I would argue that the sidebar frame is a little wide.
