Webster University, with funds from its Academic Technology Grants program, Student Technology Fee, and with the support of the College of Arts and Sciences, has established a World Wide Web-based computer conferencing system. The system houses both "public" and "private" conferences for a number of courses, including Philosophical Problems in Technology, Music in Politics, Meteorology, International Photography, Introduction to Human Rights, and Comparative Politics. Other discussion takes place in "public conferences" on the system. We anticipate that additional courses and uses will follow.
